“Under the professional eye of a stationer, a unique work of art can be created that is a direct reflection of the bride and groom’s personality.”

Not From a Box is honored to be included in Grace Ormonde Wedding Style New England latest invitations editorial, featuring a gorgeous array of invitation designs and styles. GO chose one of our favorite custom designs in this issue;  a unique sleeve-style invitation with a romantic shaped monogrammed seal and chandelier accent. Oh and Swarovski crystals, lots of them. Chandeliers have to sparkle, don’t they?

Amy & Jason ~ 11.04.11

January 30, 2012

I couldn’t wait to see the photos from this wedding. The bride, Amy, was just as sweet as can be, and her choices in color and materials were exquisite. Using her flowers and linens as inspiration, she chose a mixture of blush, champagne, ecru and elegant patterned papers for her programs, menu cards, and escort cards. Beautifully styled by Zoe Gallina, and brilliantly captured by K&K Photography.

Sherry & Andrew – 04.01.2011 – Powel Crosley Mansion

July 8, 2011

Venue: Powel Crosley Mansion,  Sarasota, FL
Event Planner: Jamie Billig, Confetti Events
Florals/Decor: MMD Events
Photography: Limelight Photography
Invitations & Stationery: yours truly, Not From a Box, Inc.

Even though Sherry and Jason were married on April Fool’s Day, the clever, elegant details of this wedding were no joke.  Jewel tones with a rustic touch set the tone from the save the dates to the farewell sparklers.  We loved working with Jaime Billig, MMD Events and of course the bride.  Sherry was an absolute dream client with an eye for details and a decisive, easygoing personality. This event was captured beautifully by Limelight Photography, who never cease to amaze us with fierce detail shots and heartwarming portraits.

Denise & Justin ~ 10.02.10 ~ Clearwater Beach

January 7, 2011

Venue: Sandpearl Resort, Clearwater Beach, FL
Event Planner: Sandy Rule Events
Florals/Decor: Botanica International Design Studio
Photography: K&K Photography
Cake: Chocolate Pi
Invitations & Stationery: yours truly, Not From a Box, Inc.

Denise and Justin were married on a gorgeous October day at the Sandpearl Resort on Clearwater Beach. Their wedding was the perfect mixture of sophistication, style and personal touches. Guests were invited to the wedding with ecru letterpress invitations with chocolate brown and champagne accents, including an illustrated map of Clearwater Beach for guests’ convenience. The groom, a musician, named their tables after their favorite bands and musicians. So it’s only natural that he got up and performed with the band at the reception. How fun is that?!?

We are thrilled to be included in the current issue of Weddings Unveiled Magazine, as a part of Erin and David’s December, 2009 wedding at the Ritz-Carlton Sarasota. I must admit, I had little doubt this wedding would be published: It was absolutely gorgeous in every way, and captured beautifully by photograper Garrett Nudd. This wedding is also featured in our own Real Weddings gallery, with additional photos and details here.

Lauren & Andrew ~ 05.08.10 ~ Tampa, FL

November 19, 2010

Working with a couple like Lauren and Andrew embody the reasons I love what I do, and inspire me to improve. Their rare combination of graciousness, sophistication and style resulted in a fun, successful collaboration. Lauren came to us for their save the date announcements and continued with their elegant invitations and stylish day-of paper pieces, all of which maintained a gorgeous color and design combination of fairway green, champagne and ivory. Elegant yet coordinated. A girl after my own heart.

Artful letterpress invitations complete with a custom die-cut seal and hand calligraphy requested the honour of very fortunate guests’ presence to Terin and Jake’s elegant Tampa wedding. Black tie attire, please. Enjoy stunning florals and decor, scrumptious food and service by the Renaissance Tampa. Tables, named after Latin-derived legal terms, were a nod to the bride and groom’s profession and a clever personal touch. But oooh the Swarovski crystal-encrusted menu cards were so divine too! Cindy Stonehouse and her talented team of vendors brilliantly painted the Renaissance Tampa’s ballroom in Classic Elegance, in shades of white and pops of deep aquamarine. Foto d’Amore captured this event beautifully. {{{{Swoon}}}

Katherine & Cam ~ 07.17.10 ~ St. Petersburg, FL

November 17, 2010

Planner/Coordinator: Sandy Rule
Photographer: Aaron Lockwood
Florals & Decor: conceptBAIT
Lighting: Bay Stage Lighting
Catering: Olympia Catering
Reception Venue: Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, FL

It’s hard to choose just one favorite detail of this wedding. First: I absolutely adored working with Katherine and her family for the second time — view Katherine’s sister Kristen’s wedding in Nov. 2009 here — they are creative, think-outside-the-box folks. We spent many afternoons kicking around fun ideas in my studio or having “what if…?” conversations via email. Second: the venue selection, color scheme, decor and lighting are true masterpieces of creativity and execution. Third: the invitations and stationery truly set the tone for the day, and how clever are the mini-canvas escort cards?

I developed an even deeper appreciation for event planners, decor, lighting and photography folks during the setup of this wedding — yes, I hung out at the museum for most of the day to witness firsthand the transformation, an astounding turnaround of just 2 hours because the museum doesn’t close early for private events. But that experience will be the subject of another blog post entirely.

Leah & Chris ~ 04.17.10 ~ Tampa, FL

November 15, 2010

Planner/Coordinator: Shannon Wilson, Table 6 Productions
Photographer: Ryan Joseph
Florals and Decor: conceptBAIT
Reception Venue: Palma Ceia Country Club, Tampa, FL
Invitations & Stationery: Not From a Box, Inc.

This is a true southern charm wedding, complete with soft details, gorgeous florals, and abundant food, all captured beautifully by photographer Ryan Joseph. The couple’s save the date announcements, wedding invitations and ceremony programs featured a soft green cabbage rose illustration and classic champagne typography. A true example of “less is more” design.

Lily & Tim ~ 07.17.10 ~ Vermont

November 1, 2010

I’ve been quite anxious to blog the detail shots from this beautiful summer wedding in Chester, Vermont. We had a great time collaborating with Lily and her cousin Amanda (as in, the fabulous Amanda Allen with MMD Events, lucky bride, having an uber-talented event designer in the family!).

I had a very difficult time choosing which photos to post, there were so many wonderful shots to choose from. The extremely talented Jeff of K&K Photography has the ability to make you feel as if you were really there and feeling every emotion right alongside the subjects, in both the most intimate and celebratory moments. A rare talent indeed.

The reception took place at the beautiful Castle Hill Resort & Spa in Cavendish.
