Real Event: Karamu 2009

Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo’s annual black tie gala is known for it’s lavish theme, extensive decor and outstanding cuisine. Karamu, from the Swahili word “party,” has raised nearly $2.4 million for animal care and education programs at the zoo over the last 20 years.

The event was held at Lowry Park’s brand-new Safari Lodge. A unique, upscale venue located right in the heart of the zoo.

Not From a Box designed the invitations and signage for the event. We were also graciously invited to attend by Kelly Feldman, this year’s event chair. It did not disappoint.

The vendors that helped make this event fantastic included:

Event Design: Brooke Palmer, RSBP Events
Florals: Botanica
Photography: Aaron Lockwood
Linens/Decor: BBJ Linen, Panache, Nuage Designs
